Long Island Board of REALTORS® Presents 2015 Community Service Award to Evelyn Atanas

The Long Island Board of REALTORS® Inc. (LIBOR) recognized Realtor® Evelyn Atanas as the recipient of this year’s esteemed Community Service Award at their Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held on November 24, 2015 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.     

A Williston Park native, Evelyn Atanas has operated her own brokerage, Atanas Realty Corp. since 1984. She has worked as a real estate broker for the past 30 years. Evelyn currently serves as Zone 8 Chairperson for the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island (MLSLI) and Director of Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR). She also served as Director, Vice President and President of LIBOR's Central Nassau Chapter. 

After College in Massachusetts Evelyn worked in Retailing for major Department Stores and traveled all over the world designing clothing to be sold in stores in the United States. She traveled all over the U.S.A. and cities in Europe, Asia, near and far East.            

Evelyn has received placement on the Town of North Hempstead's Woman Honor Roll; is an active member of Williston Park Parking Committee, The Chamber of Commerce of The Willistons, Historical Society, Neighborhood Watch, and delivered Meals on Wheels to the Elderly. 

Evelyn’s involvement and commitment to her community involvement has brought so many great contributions to the neighborhood LIBOR is honored to recognize Evelyn for her involvement and commitment for the betterment of her community.
