Special Congressional Election: Parties and PACs Spend Millions, Make Sure You’re Ready to Vote

Jan 17, 2024

With mail ballot applications and new voter registration due by the start of early in-person voting on Saturday, February 3rd, Democrats, Republicans, and allied PACs are announcing millions in new spending to support their candidates to replace disgraced and expelled former U.S. Rep. George Santos (R). Democrat Tom Suozzi of Glen Cove, the former U.S. Representative and Nassau County Executive, recently opened a campaign office in his opponent's hometown of Great Neck. Republican nominee Mazi Pilip, a Nassau County Legislator for Great Neck and Manhasset, recently spoke with Spectrum News/NY1 about the race. Both Suozzi (D) and Pilip (R) have had their campaigns’ approach to this nationally-followed election questioned in the political press. For information on how to apply for an absentee ballot, the location of early voting sites, or check your Election Day polling place, check the Nassau County Board of Elections or New York City Board of Elections.
