NYC Mayor 2025: Cuomo Hits Mamdani on Housing; Paterson Backs Adams

New Siena polling shows another strong lead (but no majority) for NYS Assembly Member and democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani (D-Astoria) against a divided field. ABC-7 has the story:

• NYS Assembly Member Zohran Mamdani (D) gets 44%
• Former Governor Andrew Cuomo (I) has 25%
• Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa (R) pulls 12%
• Current Mayor Eric Adams (I) at just 7%
  

Now Cuomo is hitting Mamdani over living in $2,300 per month rent-stabilized housing after becoming a member of the State Assembly, making this a good time to remind people of the difference between "rent-stabilized" and "rent-controlled" housing.

Meanwhile, former NY Governor David Paterson has now endorsed Mayor Eric Adams — just as another former Adams aide pleads guilty to campaign finance corruption.
