The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) Young Professional Network (YPN) hosted a spectacular evening, honoring the 7th Annual ‘20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate,’ on June 27, 2018 at the Fox Hollow in Woodbury. Congratulations to all of the outstanding recipients whose commitment to the real estate industry demonstrates that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the luminaries of today!
A message from YPN President Kyle Kelly:
“I would like to first congratulate the class of 2018 Award winners. I am truly humbled to be surrounded by such successful and dedicated individuals.
To all who were in attendance, especially our LIBOR President, Charlotte Van der Waag and President Elect, Dianne Scalza, as well as all of our LIBOR Executive Officers, thank you for your continued support of the YPN Division. You are the role models we look forward to becoming one day.
A huge thank you is due to the YPN Officers and Directors for their hard work in putting together this amazing event.
I also can't express enough how grateful I am for the hard work of our amazing LIBOR staff, especially Jaclyn Indrigo. This event surely would not be possible without their help.
The 20 Under 40 award winners were chosen, not just on their production, but also based on their involvement in their community, involvement in the industry, and for their dedication in making sure the future of this industry remains bright and full of promise.
I am often asked what the YPN is... Is it just for young people? Is it just for new agents?
The YPN is a group of professionals, young in age, young in business, or young at heart, that are committed to being not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today. We understand the importance of putting the needs of our clients ahead of our own, as well as the needs of our members and our industry.
To the winners, this is only the beginning. I encourage you to get more involved with the LIBOR, NYSAR and NAR. And, when you are ready for that, the YPN is here to help.
At the end of the day, the YPN is about introducing our membership to all that Real Estate has to offer outside of just Buying and Selling homes. And most importantly, it is about the friendships and the bonds that are formed, that will propel us throughout our careers and throughout life"

The YPN began in 2006 and was started by Realtor® Magazine as a way to help the younger generation of Realtors® build a stronger link with the real estate industry. In 2009, YPN began to expand its network by encouraging local and state associations to use the YPN model to start their own young professional’s network. In 2011, the Long Island Board of Realtors® was proud to join the YPN movement and established a YPN chapter for Long Island that supports members in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Young professionals represent the future of the real estate industry. Members of the YPN represent the next generation of leaders in our association and our community.
