December 6, 2013 - West Babylon, NY - The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is pleased to announce that Realtor® Cheryl Grossman has been named the recipient of the distinguished Realtor®-Salesperson of the Year award. The announcement was recently made at the association’s Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
Cheryl is a long time licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with Realty Executives North Shore in Huntington. She was a Top Producer in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 and was one of the very first agents on Long Island to have a personal website, LIAgent.com, providing valuable content for Dix Hills and Huntington area real estate consumers. She holds the CIPS, CRP, CRS, CLHMS, ePro, GRI, SFR and SRES designations.
Although a member since 1985, Cheryl’s involvement with LIBOR began in 1999 with service to the Member Services Committee which she chaired in 2010 and 2011. She quickly became active with many additional committees, and has had an impressive 13 year commitment to the MLSLI Technology & Services Committee; mirroring her passion for technology, and served as Chair in 2011 and 2012.
Her longtime association with the Huntington Township Chapter led to her serving as a Chapter Director, Vice President and Chapter President for 4 years. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Huntington Township Chapter. She also serves on both LIBOR and NYSAR Board of Directors.
She has received numerous Community Service Awards including a Proclamation from the Town of Huntington “In Recognition of Leadership and Service to the Dix Hills Community,” and an Appreciation Award from the Dix Hills Civic Association. Her community involvement also includes service to the Half Hollow Hills PTA over many years, and she has been a part of the Town of Huntington Affordable Task Force and the Long Island Seniors Resource Group.
What many of us know from her glorious and refreshing southern accent, is that Cheryl is a native of Eldorado, Oklahoma and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas; where she met her husband Neil. They reside in Dix Hills. They have two grown children Kim and David and two adored grandchildren, Samantha and Max.
