Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) has been awarded the Platinum Commercial Services Accreditation by National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), recognizing LIBOR’s exceptional commitment to advancing and serving the commercial real estate sector.
This prestigious honor celebrates the efforts of LIBOR’s Commercial Committee, whose leadership and innovation have strengthened commercial programming, enhanced member engagement, and expanded opportunities for commercial practitioners across Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties.
Introduced in 2008, NAR’s Commercial Services Accreditation Program empowers REALTOR® associations to elevate their commercial offerings and foster meaningful connections with commercial members. Following program enhancements in 2022, the program now includes three accreditation levels—Gold, Platinum, and Diamond—and requires annual recertification to ensure continued excellence.
LIBOR achieved Platinum status by surpassing 36 performance benchmarks, demonstrating excellence in member services, professional development, communications, advocacy, and community engagement. The recognition reflects LIBOR’s dedication to supporting the growth and success of its commercial members and its ongoing efforts to enhance opportunities for collaboration, learning, and business development.
Throughout 2025, LIBOR expanded its commercial programming through new educational resources, strategic partnerships, and an enhanced commercial section on LIRealtor.com. The association also hosted a variety of professional development and networking opportunities, including its first-ever Commercial Deal Exchange—a live marketing session designed to help members connect and share listings directly.
In addition, LIBOR has designated October as Commercial Month, an annual awareness campaign highlighting programs, events, and resources designed to showcase commercial opportunities and help residential agents explore this sector. Commercial Month reinforces LIBOR’s commitment to providing pathways for members interested in expanding their business into commercial real estate.
“This recognition reflects the passion and dedication of our Commercial Committee and the strong engagement of our members,” said LIBOR President Mark Donnelly. “Commercial real estate is a vital part of our industry and our communities. Achieving Platinum status reaffirms LIBOR’s commitment to providing the resources, education, and connections that empower our members to thrive.”
LIBOR previously earned NAR’s Diamond Accreditation in 2023 and Platinum Accreditation in 2024, marking a continued legacy of excellence in commercial real estate services.
