Kathleen Kennedy, CPA, Vice President of Finance and Accounting of Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR), has been named an honoree of the 2021 Executive Circle Awards by the Long Island Business News (LIBN).
The Executive Circle Awards celebrates c-suites, directors and other senior level executives who consistently demonstrate remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, company performance, community service and diversity. Awards spanned a wide range of fields including real estate, law, accounting, healthcare, technology, finance, education, and nonprofits.
As the Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Kennedy is responsible for managing the accounting for LIBOR, a 29,000-member not-for-profit trade association that serves real estate professionals throughout Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties.
Kennedy brings to this position over thirty years of dedicated accounting experience, a resolute work ethic and admirable mentoring skills with a reach far beyond the accounting department.
Since joining the executive team of LIBOR in 2017, Kennedy has demonstrated vision and leadership by guiding the association through new levels of growth and success. She facilitated the consolidation of two for-profit subsidiaries to create a greater service for members, and the buying and selling consumers alike.
In addition to managing the accounting for the association, Kathleen is also responsible for the accounting for two real estate holding companies and a regional MLS, with 44,000 subscribers.
