REALTOR® Yoshinori Takita of Keystone Realty USA in Flushing, NY, has been named 2022 REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year by Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR). The award was presented at the Association’s annual Installation and Awards Event held on January 5, 2023, at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY.
LIBOR’s REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year award is presented annually to a REALTOR® who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the advancement of the real estate industry. The recipient epitomizes what it means to be a REALTOR® through service to their profession, peers, and the REALTOR® Association.
Takita has been a licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Keystone Realty Group and a Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) member since 2002.
Throughout his career, he has earned numerous National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) designations and certifications including ABR, CBR, SRES, CIPS, GRI, e-Pro®, SFR, RSPS, PSA, AHWD, and C2EX. In 2014 Takita was awarded the “20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate” by LIBOR’s Young Professionals Network (YPN), a division of NAR. The program recognizes the best of the real estate industry’s young leaders and overall well-rounded REALTORS®.
Takita graduated from NAR Leadership Academy in 2015 as the first graduate from New York State and was appointed an RPAC Major Investor Golden R with President Circle in 2017. Additionally, he was inducted into the LIBOR and New York Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) RPAC Hall of Fame in 2019 and will be inducted into the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame, with his name engraved on the NAR Building in Washington DC, in 2023.
Becoming a member of LIBOR’s Board of Directors in 2010, sparked Yoshi’s interest in the Association, and he strived to be more involved on a local, state, and national level. Takita has held positions as Chair of LIBOR's Fair Housing and Culture Diversity Committee in 2014 and Chair of LIBOR's Global Committee in 2019.
On a state and national level, Takita has been a member of NYSAR’s Board of Directors since 2012. He was appointed to NYSAR's Fair Housing and Culture Diversity Committee which he chaired in 2013. On the national level, he served on NAR’s Diversity Committee in 2012, and as Chair of the CIPS Advisory Board in 2022. He was appointed NAR President liaison to Mongolia in 2017 and 2018, and Global Ambassador to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia in 2022 and 2023.
Takita is passionate about global real estate and has participated in many REALTOR® Conferences worldwide. Takita is a principal member of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, the world’s leading international real estate organization devoted to all real estate specialties and activities.
Born and raised in Osaka, Japan, Takita is fluent in Japanese and English. After receiving his high school diploma in his hometown, he came to the United States at the age of 18. He continued his college studies in New York City and received his Associate Degree in Small Business and Entrepreneurship at the City University of New York. In 2002, he received his Real Estate License in New York and has been vehemently serving his community locally and globally for the past 20 years.
