Dec 30, 2022

Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) has named REALTOR® Nabaraj KC as its 2022 REALTOR® Spirit Award recipient, in recognition of his commitment and exceptional volunteer efforts with the College Point Civic and Taxpayers Association.

LIBOR's REALTOR® Spirit Award recognizes a remarkable member who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through selfless and dedicated volunteer work. LIBOR gifts the organization through which the honoree volunteers time and talents a $5,000 donation.

As a long-time activist and leader for change, Nabaraj KC has spent his life dedicated to bettering his community.

After attending public schools and receiving his Master’s Degree in Global Leadership from Duquesne University he has worked as a successful entrepreneur, REALTOR® for Telemundo Realty, and community servant.

KC currently serves as President of College Point Civic and Taxpayers Association, where he works tirelessly to aid their mission to improve the quality of life for residents in the diverse community of College Point.

KC’s most significant contributions took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. For more than a year, he single-handedly provided necessities such as food, cleaning supplies, masks, and other inaccessible items and delivered them to College Point families in need every week. His extraordinary efforts were recognized with the “COVID-19 Hero Award” by Hami Negali Global.

From 2019 to 2020 KC served as President of the Rotary Club of New York, Queens, the oldest and largest service organization in the world. In this position, he strived to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service and advance goodwill and peace around the world.

KC is a globally recognized humanitarian and has been the recipient of prestigious honors and awards from local, national, and international organizations for his work. In recognition of his dedication, Congresswoman Grace Meng recently dedicated December 22nd as "Nabaraj KC Day" within the 6th Congressional District. KC serves on the Asian Advisory Council and is a Civic Engagement Transition Team Appointee for NYC Mayor Eric Adams.

KC lives in College Point with his wife, Ramila, and two sons, Nirabh and Neel. He is a proud New Yorker and a son of Nepali immigrants.

“Long Island Board of REALTORS® is proud to recognize Nabaraj KC as the 2022 REALTOR® Spirit Award recipient,” said 2022 LIBOR Kevin Loiacono.  “His unwavering commitment to supporting College Point Civic and Taxpayers Association has made a difference in so many lives, and is the embodiment of the Spirit Award program.”

The REALTOR® Spirit Award was created in 2006 and has since recognized more than 50 local REALTORS® for their outstanding commitment to community service. REALTOR® Spirit Award charities have received more than $70,000 in donations. In addition, each winner receives local publicity, which generates additional donations and inspires new volunteers to get involved and make their communities a better place to live.
