Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) proudly announced the successful hosting of its inaugural Lunar New Year Reception on February 12, 2024. Co-hosted by LIBOR’s Global and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committees, the event celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Lunar New Year.
The vibrant celebration took place at New Fu Run in Great Neck, a renowned venue known for its authentic Chinese cuisine and warm ambiance. LIBOR members from all counties of Long Island came together to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
Among the esteemed guests was North Hempstead council member, Christine Liu, who greeted LIBOR members and offered words of encouragement and support for the Association’s diversity initiatives.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, indicative of the enthusiasm of the membership for cultural inclusivity. Attendees were treated to an array of delectable food offerings, adding to the festive atmosphere, and creating memorable moments for all.
As a token of good fortune and prosperity, those in attendance received traditional red envelopes filled with chocolate coins, symbolizing a joyful and prosperous start to the new lunar year.
LIBOR looks forward to continuing its tradition of celebrating cultural diversity and inclusivity through events that bring members and communities together.
