Long Island Board of REALTORS® Presents 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award to Gail Bishop

December 9, 2011 - West Babylon, NY - The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is proud to announce that the distinguished 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award has been presented to Gail Bishop, Realtor® and branch manager of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate in East Islip. The announcement was made recently at the association’s Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

For over thirty years, Gail has been well known for her unwavering professionalism. She has volunteered, contributed and has had a positive impact on everyone she meets and every project she works on.  Fellow Realtors® say that she “represents the best in all of us as Realtors®.”

Her long career of service originally focused on Education and that hasn’t changed over the years, it has only grown stronger.  She’s chaired the LIBOR Education Committee a number of times (as well as numerous other committees; was a prime mover in getting our long successful Education Conference off the ground as its first Chair and went on to chair that undertaking more than once.

Gail is a superb teacher and speaker. She has the respect and affection of her students.  Because of this the Board Leadership through the years has frequently asked her to represent the Realtor® organization at public functions such as Fair Housing Conferences, Homebuyer Conferences and before the Town of Islip on onerous rental regulations.  

Gail is still dedicated to her business and is a positive promoter of LIBOR. She continues to give freely of her ideas, her time, and assistance to anyone who needs it.  It was an honor to the board to recognize such a remarkable individual, who has truly left her imprint in the real estate community.
