Huntington: Town Joins New York State's "ADU Plus One" Program

"The Town of Huntington has begun participating in the state’s ADU Plus One program that helps homeowners upgrade or create accessory apartment units. Working with the Long Island Housing Partnership, the town was awarded a $2 million grant from the state,"  Huntington Now reports. "Improvements and construction permits and plans must be approved by the town’s Building and Housing Department. The program will address new ADUs as well as existing ADUs that require rehabilitation or improvements to bring the unit into code compliance."
