"Town Supervisor Ed Smyth and his team won a brutal Huntington Republican primary Tuesday night, sweeping aside a vigorous challenge by three candidates seeking the town’s top elected jobs," reported Huntington Now.
"Smyth totaled 61% of the vote compared with 39% for Lupinacci, with all districts reporting, unofficial results show. In the Conservative primary, Smyth totaled 71% of the vote compared with 27% for Spada, with all districts reporting," reported Newsday. Anti-housing candidates also fell short in Smithtown.
REALTORS® supported Ed Smyth’s team for the same reason we opposed Governor Hochul's attempt to overstep our local governments: because we know that communities benefit when housing decisions are made by locally elected leaders who can be held accountable.
LIBOR Government Affairs was proud to work with the NYSAR Fund to secure NAR grant money and put it into an independent expenditure in support of these candidates. Learn more about why here.
