Jul 2, 2025
Democratic Primary: "Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (Astoria) defeated former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the third round in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, according to ranked choice voting results. The results released by the New York City Board of Elections on Tuesday, July 1, revealed Mamdani beat Cuomo 56% to 44%" in the final count, reported WABC-TV. Mamdani recently secured many key labor endorsements he did not have before his primary win.

Cuomo The Independent? "Cuomo's campaign is looking to see if these results offer the former governor any path forward as he contemplates whether to run in the general election on an independent ballot line. A spokesperson for Cuomo released a statement after the results were released saying, 'We'll be continuing conversations with people from all across the city while determining next steps,'" said WABC-TV.

President Trump Backs Adams Over Republican Curtis Sliwa? "I helped him out a little bit," Trump said, alluding to the Department of Justice’s controversial move to dismiss Eric Adams’ federal corruption case. "He had a problem, and he was unfairly hurt over this question. That was a Biden indictment. I said, ‘Don’t feel bad. I got indicted five times,'" [http://“I helped him out a little bit,” Trump said, alluding to the Department of Justice’s controversial move to dismiss Adams’ federal corruption case. “He had a problem, and he was unfairly hurt over this question. “That was a Biden indictment.
