Tonya Lewter-Gordon is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of La Vie Development Services, Inc., a New York-based MWBE Business Development Firm. They offer services such as Conference & Tradeshow Coordination, Event Planning, Financing, Employee Background Screening, Sports & Event Management, MWBE Outreach & Contract Oversight, Website & Mobile Application Design, Marketing, and Advertising. Lewter-Gordon is also the Executive Director of New Millennium Development Services, Inc. She started the Long Island Community & Economic Development Conference, connecting small businesses, including MWBEs and Veteran-Owned Businesses, with contract decision-makers from government agencies and corporations. Their focus includes workforce housing development and community revitalization through economic development and affordable housing. Tonya's entrepreneurial journey began with Lewter-Scott Travel Associates, Inc., her mother's business. She gained valuable experience and training there. Previously, she worked in Market Sales Management at Allstate Insurance Company, handling training, customer service, operations, underwriting, and sales management. She developed the "Quick Start Sales Training Program" and received recognition for her achievements. Tonya holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from Spelman College and is known as a community leader, entrepreneur, speaker, and advocate for business and economic development.
