The change of seasons presents an opportunity for reflection and renewal. In real estate—an industry defined by change—success hinges on adapting to market shifts and evolving our knowledge, skills, and services. At Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR), we’re embracing this new season of transformation with purpose and momentum.

October will see the opening of LIBOR’s new headquarters at 1305 Walt Whitman Road in Melville, New York. More than a change of address, this move reflects our long-term vision—to inhabit a space prioritizing member education, innovation, and professional excellence. It’s a commitment to LIBOR members and the future of our industry.

As the market grows more complex and competitive, continuous learning is no longer optional—it’s essential. Successful REALTORS® are expanding their practices by developing expertise in specialized areas such as commercial real estate, international transactions, appraisals, or niche growth markets. Whether serving business owners, global investors, or affinity groups, the ability to refine one’s practice with the help of targeted education impacts career longevity.

LIBOR’s new space will be a hub for this needed critical learning. Our classrooms and inviting meeting spaces will feature new, professional AV equipment to enhance communication and collaboration. The facility will have improved high-speed Wi-Fi with expanded coverage and reliable, fast internet access. The new space will empower members through expanded learning and gathering opportunities.

So, please mark your calendar for Monday, December 2, 2025, for a special Member Appreciation and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This event will be more than a tour of our new offices. Expect a day of connections, insight from community leaders, and a renewed sense of what it means to be a REALTOR® today.
