Join Team LIBOR: Ronald McDonald House St. James 5 Mile Challenge & 5K Fun Run/Walk

Saturday, May 9, 2026 | St. James, New York

LIBOR is proud to sponsor the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro (RMHCNYM) St. James 5 Mile Challenge and 5K Fun Run/Walk, and we invite members to join Team LIBOR for this inspiring event.

This year’s race supports the construction of a new Ronald McDonald House at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital—the first of its kind in Suffolk County. This $34 million project will provide families with a place to stay close to their children while they receive critical medical care.

The event begins at Deepwells Farm, where participants will gather before heading to the старт line. The 5 Mile Challenge offers a scenic and rewarding course through the village of Head of the Harbor, New York, featuring rolling hills and the well-known Cordwood Path incline before a fast finish. A shorter 5K walk option is also available, making this event accessible for all fitness levels.

LIBOR has a long-standing partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro, including funding two rooms at the New Hyde Park facility. Supporting this initiative is especially meaningful as the organization celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Whether you run or walk, every step helps provide comfort, care, and support to families during difficult times. Learn more here.

As part of the National Association of REALTORS® 2026 REALTORS® Are Good Neighbors Volunteer Days, and in recognition of National Homeownership Month, LIBOR is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island to help build a home for a deserving family.

Taking place from 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM at a home construction site in Wyandanch, this hands-on volunteer opportunity is open to both skilled and unskilled participants. Space is limited to 15 volunteers, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Members interested in participating should email pr@lirealtor.com to reserve their spot.
